Unlike every other Monday, I was not running late. I made an extra effort to get the kids to daycare - on time for breakfast. Lot of good it did me. I left the daycare with extra time. About 10 minutes later I'm driving along when the traffic comes to a screaching halt. What the hell??? I figured the light was backed up or maybe the entrance to the tollway... So I sit. Twenty minutes later I'm on the phone with the hubby - can't believe I'm in the exact same place! Thirty minutes more, I've got to call the boss. After another 30 - traffic begins a slow crawl. I finally pass the intersection - no wrecked cars. Just two police cars directing the backed up traffic. I was expecting to see some major damage. Two hours late to work... you can imagine how the rest of the day went.
