So, Bill did it. Launched the 360 Nov 22. There were lines of people camping out at Best Buys and Walmarts. With the shortage so many went home empty handed. My husband was not one of them! He preordered months ago through a local gaming store. The store had almost 100 preorders. With the shortage they were only suppossed to be receiving 30 boxes. Turns out they only received 2...Yes, 2! Try getting your hands on one now... Ebay you say? I hope you're willing to pay between $1500 - $5000! Why, Bill? Why? Because Microsoft knew exactly what they were doing! With so many hardcore gamers wanting the Premium system, how were any of the Core systems going to sell and what about all those accessories? Well, MS puts out a shortage, not only can they now justify the expensive cost, but can decide to instead produce lots of core systems. Many gamers want it so badly they'd be willing to buy the core and soup it up til it's has Premium specs. The result is MS sells their core system and its accessories, the customer spends $300 more to upgrade to the Premium - They knew exactly what they were doing.
