We arrived at the Depot early around 7:00 am. We got there in time to see Morning Colors. This is something every Marine family should see. We headed to the bleachers to get seats for the graduation. Surprisingly, the stands were alreading starting to fill. We had to wait for almost 2 hours. Finally the band started to march in and graduation had begun. After graduation they are released for leave. He was in a very big hurry to find his sea bag and get it to the car. Apparently, they all look alike and have no obvious labeling. So he wanted to find his before everyone went over to look for theirs. We stayed behind to meet and thank his Drill Instructor. The DI allowed the family to take pictures with him. He wanted to stop at the exchange to purchase some clothes. We finally left the Depot and stopped at Chili's since the new Marine wanted to eat a steak. Next we headed for the hotel and all he could do was tell us all about what he learned. He was finally able to get into civilian clothes, he seemed much more at ease. It was a very proud day for him and the family!
